While it was launched back in 2008, DuckDuckGo isn’t one of the most popular search engines on the Internet. A browser extension for this search engine is available for Opera.

The app has a very simple interface and should be easy to figure out by all users.

The Opera extension installs to the browser and can be launched straight from the interface, next to the address bar. The duck with the green bow on a red background appear in the right-side area of the bar and only requires that you click it.

This prompts a pop-up box that includes a search field where you can type in whatever you want to find out more information about.

Once you’ve typed in everything, you may press the button on the interface or the “Enter” button on the keyboard. A new tabbed page is immediately opened with a list of relevant links that are listed there.

The search engine promises strong privacy protection details and does not record any user information. Thus, all users receive the same search results for a given term and the list of results is not influenced by previously visited websites and queries.

All in all, DuckDuckGo is a nice addition for Opera if you want to try another search engine. Inexperienced users shouldn’t have any troubles while installing and working with this tool, thanks to its overall simplicity.
