Minus

Minus provides you with a file sharing software solution that enables you to upload all sorts of files to your account and share them with your friends and acquaintances by sending them the generated link.

The application offers support for photos, music files and documents, providing a quick way to share them with anyone, even if they are using Minus or not. Focusing on simplicity and ease of use, it runs in the system tray, enabling you to access all its options from the right-click context menu.

Its main window is intuitive, displaying a list of all the available folders and their content, reachable from the 'Dashboard' section. All the items are neatly displayed, along with a small preview of the uploaded file and the number of contained files. With just a few clicks, you can change the directory status (which can be public or private) and copy the link to the clipboard.

The application also features screen capturing capabilities for the entire screen or a certain part of it, accessible from the tray menu. However, during our testing, this option failed to function properly, since new folders cannot be created. The same error is triggered when trying to upload a file from the computer to Minus, probably due to the fact that the developer no longer supports the Windows version of the application.

Even so, you can use Minus to view the files you uploaded to your account using a web browser.  Also, existing users that already have more than the initial folder created in their account should be able to upload a file to those directories, without facing any problems. The application displays the uploading progress and notifies you about the success of the operation within a popup window.

Minus can be used for sharing files with others, but unfortunately not all its functions are functioning properly. While it shows lots of potential, we recommended users who are not familiar with it to try some other file sharing program that works flawlessly.
