NewsPro handles Usenet newsgroups on multiple servers; in fact, it uses no default news server. It may take some getting used to for most users but could be what you're looking for.

You can add multiple newsgroups and view them in an Explorer-style expandable tree. Different views and separate message filters can be reused.

NewsPro uses the faster news server to download articles, and its multithreading capabilities retrieve more than one at a time.
