MP3 Song Finder
MP3 Song Finder is a lightweight application designed to help you find a song over the Internet.
It’s a simple to use tool that displays a more than comprehensive interface and allows you to search for tracks using a large number of search engines. You get to choose from ‘Audiofind’, ‘FindSongs’, ‘MediaTrak’, ‘Mp3board’ (HTTP and FTP), ‘Palavista’, ‘SeekMp3’ (HTTP and FTP) and ‘Lycos’.
To search for a song all you have to do is enter the artist name and song title, choose the engine you want to use and click the ‘Find’ button. The application then opens the browser with the selected search engine and displays the results for you.
Or that’s how it should work. The truth is that MP3 Song Finder hasn’t been updated or taken care of in a long time and the search engines that it uses aren’t even active anymore. When you click the ‘Find’ button MP3 Song Finder indeed opens the browser but the page just doesn’t open or you find out that the domain is for sale.
Since the application hasn’t been updated in a couple of years, you can consider that the search engines have moved their domains and that the application simply has the wrong links embedded in it. That’s not really the case. Even a manual search for the engines makes it clear that they are no longer available.
In closing, MP3 Song Finder should be referred to in the past tense since now, it’s not going to do anyone any good.
