The Metaverse EX browser series is an enhanced version of the popular Active Worlds client browser that allows the user to easily and intuatively navigate around hundreds of worlds. Listed here are some of the latest additions to the browser.

World Refresh: Allows the user to refresh the world they are in without multiple clicks. Also known as "bouncing", when world owners update files on the object path the changes are not always immediate. This usually means that a user will have to exit a world and come back in to see the changes. This function has been reduced to a single click on the toolbar.

One Click Teleport: An icon on the toolbar now allows for single click access to the Teleport -> To... dialog.

Integrated Help and Support: Originally accessed through the Tabs menu (F9) the help and support has been moved to a local folder where you can now access all of the useful information about the browser. Locally stored files consist of the Metaverse Help files, though access to ActiveWorlds online help, Mauz's AW Pages, AW Property Search and more are also included.

Desktop EX: Local building commands used in Active Worlds. Launch programs on your computer through Activate commands in the 3D environment.
Local Folder: File transfers in the AW environment normally put files in the Transfers folder of the AW Directory, but you would have to minimize the browser and browse the computer to get to it. With Metaverse EX, transfers start and end with your Local Folder, accessible from the toolbar. Also useful for quick and easy access to programs and files while in the environment.

Aero Toolbar: Availible in Normal and Small sizes. The Aero Toolbar is a reconfigured AW Toolbar that includes useful additions while reducing wasted space with rarely used icons. Streamlining the toolbar was our goal, and the result is the New Aero Toolbar.

Snapshots: Originally set to only take one snapshot within the browser, the EX version automatically increases the limit to 999. All pictures taken are located in the main program directory, named snapshot[number].jpg.

Built In Features: AW 4.1 client comes with many new features from the older 3.6 client. These features are too numerous to list here, but are availible in the Help and Support Center.
