If you typically share media on multiple file sharing platforms like Shutterstock, Fotolia, Pond5 or any other website via FTP, finding the right tool that can upload multiple files in bulk can significantly ease your job.

PixelUploader is such a program, released for Windows and macOS. Wrapped in a simplistic interface that puts emphasis on well-organized options, the application gives you the possibility to upload images with the JPG format as well as videos with the MOV or MP4 filetype. Besides Shutterstock, Fotolia and Pond5, it supports Depositphotos, 123RF and Dreamstime. What's more, you can configure settings for FTP uploads.

Files can be seamlessly dropped in the main window to prepare them for media upload. You can check out EXIF information of JPG photos taken with digital cameras, edit the display name, description and keywords, preview any file by just moving the mouse over it, as well as save all changes or upload all files to all supported websites with one click. A spellchecker is available for editing properties.

Before doing so, you can open the burger menu on the right side, in order to set up your personal account on the file sharing sites. Any site can be skipped from this area if you want to exclude it from the uploading job. Meanwhile, new websites can be added to the list by specifying the FTP address, username, password, folder path, and TLS connection.

Additional features are available for exporting the information of all selected files to CSV format, disabling image and video previews, hiding uploading progress, disabling auto-checkup for software updates, deactivating the spellchecker, as well as clearing EXIF, IPTC and XMP metadata.

Files were swiftly uploaded in our tests while PixelUploader remained light on system resources consumption. It's wrapped in a user-friendly interface and has intuitive options. The biggest drawback at the moment is the lack of additional filetype support, such as PNG and AVI.
