McAfee AntiSpyware Enterprise is a security suite that enables you to detect and remove any suspicious spyware that has infiltrated your computer.
The installation process can be either done in typical or custom mode, and the program offers either standard or maximum protection (obviously, we recommend the second option).
The Security Center has an easy-to-follow interface, where you can see an overview on your computer (current status, recent events and monitoring), and scan your computer (complete or custom, with the option to detect tracking cookies).
The monitoring level on your system can be adjusted, and you can supervise changes made to Internet Explorer, Windows services, certificates and configuration files, dial-up connections and network protocol.
In addition, you can manage and disable any programs that automatically run at system startup.
In the Options menu you can configure scanning options, trusted programs (after scanning is complete, you can add programs to a “trusted” list), scheduled scans, as well as restore removed programs, erase online tracks (tracking cookies, cache, history), and view event logs.
We ran a scan on our systems, and McAfee AntiSpyware Enterprise took a long time to finish it. It managed to find some pieces of spyware, and removed some of them, but not everything.
During this time, CPU and memory were heavily used, so don't expect your computer to run smoothly during the scan job.
The fact of the matter is that if you want to try something different when it comes to spyware removal, take a look at McAfee AntiSpyware Enterprise. Besides, the price for the license is very low.
