PC-Clean is a program that can help you get rid of unwanted files from your hard drive and ultimately improve the performance of your computer.

The interface of the software consists of a plain and simple window in which you can switch tabs to access PC-Clean features.

So, you can get started by performing a scan on your files and folders (it doesn't take a very long time to finish). You can select the files you want to delete from your computer.

PC-Clean can fix problems if your computer is running slower than normal, windows keep popping up, an URL is re-routed to the wrong website, unknown icons are displayed on your desktop or unknown programs are installed, and more.

In the "Prevent" tab, you can block any spyware and programs distributed by ActiveX (you can also add, edit or delete one), while the "Advanced" area lets you clean cookies, temporary Internet files, opened pages list, auto-complete form lists and password lists, URLs entered in the address bar, Windows Media Player playlist, Recycle Bin and recent documents.

But you can also detect and remove any unnecessary Windows registry entries, end processes which are currently running, as well as manage plugins for Browser Helper Objects,  and the installed toolbars.

In addition, you can disable programs which automatically run at system startup, remove installed ActiveX plugins and send a report with your diagnosis.

The program uses a very low quantity of system resources and manages to complete a scanning and cleaning task in a reasonable amount of time. We haven't come across any problems during our tests. However, there is no help file available.

In conclusion, PC-Clean is a very good tool that can remove unnecessary files from your system and we highly recommend it to all users.
