Trojans, keyloggers, infected cookies and spyware in general are extremely dangerous for our computers, so choosing a software solution to guard the machines is quite important.
Spy Sweeper is already a famous name in the security software world, as the application is able to provide not only a powerful scanner to detect the infected files on the hard drive but also a real time monitor for blocking incoming threats.
Spy Sweeper might be a bit more difficult to install, especially if you choose the update option that automatically updates its files during the setup procedure.
The real problem is that it really takes a while, of course depending on your Internet connection, but in case your computer is already infected, your attempt to update the app might be blocked.
A computer restart is absolutely mandatory, but you’ll then be allowed to open the program and start a scan.
And because we’re already talking about the scanning process per se, it’s worth mentioning that you’ll need up to one hour until it ends because the application checks the memory, the registry, cookies and files and folders to be sure everything is clean.
There is of course a detailed settings menu to let you change some options plus the scan type, helping you choose between a full sweep, a quick or a custom one.
The Shields menu on the other hand brings a bit more customization from the point of view of tools to be protected by Spy Sweeper, meaning that you can guard not only the operating system, but also the browser, the network and the email.
All things considered, Spy Sweeper is a great tool to get rid of spyware, but you’ll need a pretty fast computer and a lot of time to conduct a full scan.
