Paladin Multi-Search

Paladin Multi-Search is an attempt to combine the power of several search engines into one application that allows you to search for anything, including images and videos, as well as to conveniently switch between engines when you need to.

The principle that Paladin Multi-Search works upon can return great results, if exploited the right way. By embedding some of the most popular search engines, it simplifies tedious web search tasks, managing to appeal to a very wide audience.

Sporting a simple design, Paladin Multi-Search holds all of its features inside the main window, in plain sight. Just under the field dedicated to the search terms, two menus are located, allowing you to select the search engine, as well as the target type of content (web, images or videos).

The list of supported search engines includes Google, Yahoo, YouTube, Bing, Ask and Duck Duck Go; simply select the preferred one, enter your expression and hit the ‘Search’ button.

On the downside, there is no option to select multiple search engines at a time, which means that you’ll have to perform more searches to get results for the same keyword on more than one engine.

The search results will be automatically delivered inside the system’s default browser. Of course, the convenience of a built-in web browser would have been much appreciated for quicker access to the results, although this approach doesn’t bother either.

On an ending note, Paladin Multi-Search is not the first or the last application that has a multi-search task in mind. However, the approach might be a little too simple to compete with bigger sharks.
