    MailEnable Professional description

A powerful email server software that provides a scalable hosted messaging platform

MailEnable Professional Edition includes all features of MailEnable Standard Edition plus additional functionality such as web mail and web administration, anti-virus support, enhanced anti-spam features and IMAP4.

Professional Edition provides the features and flexibility to make it the ideal mail hosting solution for small to medium sized organizations. By using MailEnable you will be able to manage your webmail much more easily.

Access your email securely, from anywhere using the advanced AJAX webmail client. Webmail provides flexibility & loads of features including personal calendaring, contacts, tasks, folders, POP retrieval, custom backgrounds, auto signature, multiple character sets, HTML viewing, spell checking and multilingual capabilities.

It is now possible to use MailEnable as a cloud storage provider. Mailbox owners are able to access their "My Files" folder as a network drive over the WebDAV protocol. Mailbox owners can store photos and documents from their computer or phone (using products like NetDrive and other WebDAV clients). For example, a person can take a photo with their iPhone and immediately save it to MyFiles.

MailEnable's configuration can be controlled externally by a powerful API which allows you to easily integrate with, or expand on the mail server. Full documentation and sample applications for integrating MailEnable into your project are available.

Webmail now provides the ability to add new recipient contacts to their Address Book after sending a message. When this option is enabled (via "Options>Mail"), Webmail will prompt the user whether to quickly add any recipient contacts that are not already in the Address Book as new contacts, after a message has been sent. Users have the ability to specify which email addresses to add when sending messages to multiple recipients, and can also quickly input first/last names for these new contacts on the spot.

In the latest version of the product, MailEnable introduced the My Files feature - server hosted file storage for each email account. Now the MAPI connector integrates with this feature, providing access through Outlook to your My Files storage on the server. Your files will be listed in Outlook, with easy preview capability of most file types, including images, video, audio and office documents.

The File Viewer user interface provides users with a rich and enhanced experience when previewing files (in particular images) that have been published via MailEnable Webmail. Users will now be able to zoom in/out of an image, automatically resize it to fit the current window size, reset it to its original size (100%), and change the background color for a better contrasting viewing effect.

Here are some key features of "MailEnable Professional":

The addition of scripted filtering allows for the creation of a powerful filtering engine within MailEnable.

    POP Retrieval:
    · Access multiple email accounts centrally! POP retrieval allows you to collect mail from other POP mail accounts and deliver locally. Users can configure their own settings for POP retrieval directly from webmail.

    Export Contacts:
    · Users can now export all their contacts as a CSV file (Outlook compatible format) with a simple click of a button. Extra contact fields are also supported for imports.

    MailEnable COM Component:
    · This easy-to-use component can be used in any application that supports COM. For example, you can use this component in an ASP page to send email from a web application. Works against any SMTP mail server, not just MailEnable.

    Send Contact as vCard Attachment:
    · Users can now send a contact card from contacts in their Address Book. A simple right-click on a contact allows the option to send the contact as a vCard. This will then open up the compose screen, and a new message will be created automatically containing the vCard as an attachment, and ready to be sent.

    Enhanced Anti-Spam:
    · Guard your inbox from unwanted junk mail using anti-spam features including SPF, Bayesian Filtering and URL Blacklist Content Filtering, which prevents spammers 'forging' email addresses to send spam. Other anti-spam features include; DNS blacklisting, global filtering, PTR record checking and much more.

    Content Filtering:
    · Control and organise mail using global content filtering Define rules for messages eg: forward emails, execute applications, delete messages with certain content, mark spam messages or quarantine messages containing attachments.

    · Manage post offices centrally or delegate rights to individual post office managers. Manage users, mailboxes, lists, groups & domains from your web browser. .NET Web Administration includes multilingual support.

    Integrated Global Footers/Disclaimers:
    · System and Post Office Administrators are now able to add global or Post Office footers to messages as they are sent to external parties. Mailboxes which are administrators are able to configure this through Web Administration.

    · MailEnable recently provided some significant speed and resource improvements to its IMAP and core messaging services. The IMAP service has received yet another boost in that it now supports the UIDPLUS extension. The UIDPLUS extension is available in many email clients and has recently been embraced in Outlook 2010 to boost its IMAP performance.

    Personalization:
    · MailEnable's Webmail allows users to personalize their interface by customizing background watermarks, and the ability to configure opacity and position of the background image. Users can also upload images to their My Files storage location and use these images as background watermarks.

    Security:
    · Extensive security measures and authentication methods protect your mail server from unauthorised access. Includes SMTP authentication, integrated Windows authentication, relay control, SSL, NTLM & CRAM-MD5 support.
