Proxy Changer is a small application that allows you to switch between proxy servers with just a few clicks.
The program keeps an icon in the System Tray and based on user-defined preferences, it allows you to change the proxy settings on your system on the go.
Proxy Changer impresses mostly thanks to the simplicity it provides, with a minimal interface that displays nothing else besides the proxy name, address and port.
Each proxy server needs to be manually added to the list, so users are required to configure their very own list of proxies before being able to enjoy Proxy Changer's features.
Everything's pretty easy and although configuring proxy servers might scare away some users, it all comes down to writing down a name, an address and a port.
Once you're done with your proxy list, set the default one, as well as the alternate one and you're ready to go.
Although we admit that Proxy Changer does an excellent job, more configuration tools, including wider browser support, would be a great addition. At this moment, Proxy Changer works exclusively with Internet Explorer, so Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome are not supported.
Proxy Changer runs on very low computer resources, but on Windows 7 the application can't be minimized to tray, so it stays in the Task Bar all the time.
All in all, Proxy Changer can come in handy to users who access the Internet using multiple proxies. Switching from one configuration to another is a breeze, mostly thanks to its simplicity.
