B4Failure has like it's predecessor Serverwatch Pro been influenced a lot by all of its devoted users, making it more powerfull after each release. Even for a non-skilled systems administrator you can easy organize your monitors in the intuitive interface and webconsole.
B4Failure is the most comprehensive all-in-one monitor for your servers and network. Offering built in checks for checking performance counters, network accessability, diskussage, eventlogs and much much more. If B4Failure cannot fulfill your needs it allows you to write your own scripts.
B4Failure is designed to use in small companies, aswell in larger scalled companies. All monitors are grouped in sites and locations, making it easy locating where the monitors are, and controlling user (Systems Administrators) access to them.
This all-in-one application gives you a complete overview of your network and it's status anytime, from anywhere, through the new powerfull webconsole - all you need is a webbrowser.
The built in notification que collects all mail from B4Failure before it delivers them, ensuring that no email notifications are lost. If a network error occurs, B4Failure will deliver them as soon as the network connection is restored!
The new selfsystem recovery, checks the database timestamp for changes. If B4Failure should hang on a check, the servicehelper will shutdown the mainservice after 15 minutes and restart it, ensuring that your monitors are never down for a longer period of time.
The builtin Dynamic DNS backup prevents checks from failing if your DNS service fails. When checking a monitor B4Failure resolves the hostname to a IP address, which is then saved. If a DNS failure occour, B4Failure will use the last known IP number for the Monitor. This gives you the ability to survey servers, that doesn't use a static IP, even if your DNS fails.
B4Failure introduces a new dynamic license system. All minor program upgrades are as usual free, majors only require a new program license, as the hosts are not locked to a version. So if you have a version running with 40 hosts you wish to upgrade to the next major release, you just purchase a new installation license and attach this to the running hosts.

· NEW! Statistics and capacity management: Now collecting statistical data on usage and state for each monitor. When the data is a month old, it will be compressed down to a per-day record. Each day will hold enough essentiel data for you to calculate and plan your next steps, to prevent upcoming downtime.
· NEW! Host monitoring hours: Monitoring hours can now be set on the main hosts, allowing you to set your service schedule on the host, matching all underlying monitors.
· Main GUI: The GUI has got a few lifts in usage.
· Minor fixes: Some clients have had minor issues when scanning their eventlog entries, where the DLL was corrupted, which could break the eventscanning - this issues has now been solved.
· Helperservice: To ensure that the helperservice is started, this now starts automatically with the mainservice.
