BiblioWeb is a Web server application installed under the "BiblioWeb" folder along with Biblioscape. A Web server is a program that sends html pages to your Web browser.

When you open your Web browser to visit the Web, any place you go to is served by a Web server behind the scenes. BiblioWeb is such an application. But instead of serving html pages, BiblioWeb sends Biblioscape database records to you through your Web browser.

So you and others can add, edit, or delete records in your Biblioscape database using your Web browser, without the need to install Biblioscape on your computer.

So Biblioscape can also be called a Web-based application. Used by one user, it provides convenience. It allows you to access your database from any computer connected to the Internet while you travel. When used by many users, it provides an easy way for people to share a single database.
