GetFLV is a simple-to-use application which allows you to download, convert and create video files in the FLV format.
The interface of the program is plain and easy to navigate through. You can use a web browser to locate FLV files and download them to your hard drive.
So, you can set the output directory, set GetFLV to automatically start conversion after downloading, enable auto preview when you select a downloading video and auto switch to the downloader window when starting a task.
In addition, you can convert videos of various extensions (e.g. AVI, ASF, MOV, MPG) to MP3, FLV, MP4, WMV, AVI and others. Batch processing is supported.
Plus, you can configure audio and video settings when it comes to the encoder, resolution, frame rate, bit rate, sampling rate and channel. Last but not least, you can fix FLV videos.
The program requires a very high amount of system resources and can take a while to complete a conversion task. No errors have popped up during our tests and GetFLV did not freeze or crash. The image and sound are kept at a good quality, but it's not excellent.
All in all, GetFLV seems to come packed with essential tools which revolve around FLV processing and we strongly recommend it to all user levels.
