svBuilder is an application created as a simple solution for making image galleries for the web. It automatically takes care of all the necessary aspects of the procedure, such as resizing the pics and generating the code for the web.

It is AIR-based and, as such, Adobe AIR needs to be present on the system. A single glance at the interface should let you know that this is not a complicated program. Actually in the top part of the screen there are listed the four steps you have to go through in order to reach a result.

Adding the pictures is a simple operation that can be completed by simply dragging and dropping the items in the application window. Each of them can have a caption text that would offer more details to the viewer.

Even from this early stage there is the possibility to preview the result with the default gallery preset. However, if you want more options for showing the thumbs and the way the images are displayed, the Customization panel is where you should be.

More experienced users should notice that the list does not include a complicated list of settings but the application is designed for the less experienced ones, who would feel quite comfortable.

The program offers the choice of reducing the width and height of the gallery, changing the background color or making it transparent. You can also give it a name or change its style.

Depending on the arrangement of the thumbs, there is the possibility to change their position as well as to assign a specific number of columns and rows for them.

The last step in svBuilder is to generate the code that can be embedded in a web page. This is done in a flash and all you have to do is copy it to the clipboard. You can also take a quick look at the result in the default web browser.

svBuilder does not require any knowledge about web development. It is created with the utmost beginner in mind and everything is very simple, which is to the disadvantage of more experienced users.
