Wallaby Technology Preview
Surprise-free setup and minimal interface
The installation process is a piece of cake, as it does not offer to add any new products that are not actually necessary for the utility to work properly, and it is over in a jiffy. Once you finalize it, you are met with a clean and simple interface, as it is only comprised of a few buttons and a pane to display logs. It becomes quite clear that it can be used by anybody, including people with little or no previous experience with computers. Moreover, Help contents are provided, thus reinforcing the last statement.
Options you can tinker with
This software tool supports FLA and XFL files at import, while export is possible using a HTML extension. You should know items can be uploaded with the help of the integrated file browser, as well as the “drag and drop” feature. A small setback is that transforming multiple files in one single session is not possible.
The conversion process does not last long, and it does not put a strain on the computer’s performance, as the CPU and memory usage is low at all times.
From the settings panel, you can enable or disable logging, as well as preview resulted items in the default web browser. In the main window only errors and warnings are going to be displayed, while in the output directory a LOG is going to be created containing all the information necessary.
The interface is user-friendly, all tasks are performed in a timely manner, the system’s performance is not going to be affected, and our tests did not pick up on any errors or crashes. Taking all of this into consideration, we can safely say Wallaby Technology Preview is a pretty handy piece of software, yet its overall simplicity might ward off power users.
