    CodeRed description

A smart and powerful HTML Editor for advanced users

Code Red is a reliable highly-featured HTML Editor designed mainly for advanced users.

When you first start the program you will be presented with a form that will allow you to set the background color of the Document. From this form you can also choose the color of the text, color of the links, and color of the visited links. After making your choices the main window offers you many buttons to choose from to begin coding your document.

After clicking the buttons either the code will be automatically added to the document, OR you will be presented with a form asking for information, Or another form with buttons indicating that a further choice is available.

Code Red places all tags for you, and asks only for the simplest user input possible, while still giving you full control over the look and feel of the finished HTML document. Most of the tags that are placed in the editing window are colored so that you can go back and find tagged areas quickly.

You can save the file as an editor file by choosing "save for editing" from the file menu. This will save all the colored tags for later editing. Simply choosing save or save as will save the document as an htm file and will make the document viewable in a browser but will not save the coloring of the tags. On the other hand saving for editing will not allow viewing in a browser since this will add formatting that is not readable by browsers.

Code Red does not have the 64K limit that many HTML Editors have, and it's multiple document interface allows editing of more than one document at a time.

Softpedia guarantees that CodeRed 3.0 is 100% CLEAN, which means it does not contain any form of malware, including spyware, viruses, trojans and backdoors. [read more >]
