Liboom is a handy extension that allows you to store your bookmarks on a remote server. The idea is to keep the addresses of your favorite sites stored on a web server, so they are available anywhere.
Liboom saves the bookmarks in RSS files so they can be used with Mozilla Firefox's Live Bookmarks feature. Online storage comes in handy when you use Firefox on several computers (ex: home, office...).
Here are some key features of "Liboom":
Access your bookmarks from anywhere:
· Your different copies of Firefox are always in sync. Bookmarks integrate smoothly into Firefox's interface.
Fast and effective:
· The bookmarks are stored in static RSS files, so no processing is required when they are loaded into Firefox.
No Firefox extension needed:
· Liboom makes use of Live Bookmarks, a built-in Firefox feature.
No database required:
· Again, data is stored in RSS files. You only have to make sure that PHP scripts are allowed to write into files.
Simple installation:
· Unzip. Upload. Voilà.
Requirements:
· Mozilla Firefox
· A web server running PHP 5+
