Abac Camera

Abac Camera is a program that you can use to capture pictures via your webcam.

The interface of the application is very plain and simple to work with. Your webcam runs automatically when Abac Camera is initialized.

All you have to do is press the "Capture It!" button and snapshots will be displayed in a list. They can be saved by specifying their output name and format (JPG or BMP).

You can select one of the numeorous cartoon backgrounds (or just leave it clear).

But you can also select the video device and adjust image settings (e.g. brightness, contrast, hue, saturation, white balance, gamma). These values can be reset to default at any time.

You can set a delay time for capturing photos, select the image resolution, pixel depth and compression, as well as change the interface skin and play a song to keep you entertained (in the MP3, WMA, WAV or MID format).

The program runs on a low-to-moderate amount of system resources, includes a brief step-by-step guide for first-time users, has a great response time and didn't freeze or crash during our tests.

On the other hand, the interface should be improved. Also, the cartoon backgrounds are a bit plain and you cannot apply filters (e.g. sepia, grayscale). Nevertheless, Abac Camera is a very stable and simple-to-use tool for capturing images via webcams and we recommend it to all users, especially novices.
