The Sony Ericsson Panel SDK for X2 is a set of tools, plug-ins and documentation that allows you to develop and test Panels for the XPERIA X2 phone. XPERIA Panels are applications that extend the Today Screen API in order to provide a Full Screen immersive experience.
The Microsoft Visual Studio IDE Plug-in allows you to develop and debug XPERIA Panels that run on the XPERIA X2 phone using the included XPERIA X2 Emulator.
You also can develop these types of Panel using the Panel SDK:
· XPERIA Native Panels
· XPERIA Web (HTML) Panels
· XPERIA Panels with OpenGL ES 1.1 support
The support for OpenGL ES 1.1 in X2 provides advanced 3D graphics for an exciting gaming experience.
You will also have the possibility to develop standard (non-Panel) apps for Windows Mobile 6.5 designed for XPERIA X2 phone.

Including key mapping support; run, test, and debug your Xperia Panels locally on your PC using the Xperia X1 Device Emulator

API reference documentation related to the specifics of developing XPERIA Panels
· Microsoft Visual Studio Templates
Use predefined XPERIA Native and Web (HTML) Panel templates to create the basic project containers and a preliminary set of items for your Xperia Panels
· Tutorials
Tutorials give you a "hands-on" introduction to the SDK and the tools you use to build applications on it
· Developers' Guidelines
The Getting Started documentation includes overviews, system requirements, set-up information, and walkthroughs that help you learn about the Sony Ericsson Panel SDK for X2
