Akram Audio Converter 6.0

Akram Audio Converter is a software that lets you encode various audio formats (and few videos) to other extensions.

The program comes packed with four separate modules - Real Audio Converter, Media Audio Converter, Easy Audio Convert, and Audio CD Ripper.

The first three modules are designed to convert RMVB, RM files to WAV, MP3, OGG, WMA, but also WAV, MP3, OGG, WMA files to RM, as well as WAV, MP3, MPEG, OGG, AVI and others to a few audio formats. Audio CD Ripper can rip audio CD tracks to WAV, MP3, WMA and OGG files.

The process is simple: you add the files you want to convert, select output format and directory, configure settings (channels, frequency, bits/sample, output profile), and start converting.

An encoding task is completed in little time, while Akram Audio Converter consumes a small amount of system resources. Also, the sound quality is terrific. But the software was not able to convert MP3 to WAV (when you press the Convert button, the source file disappears from the queue).

Unfortunately, Akram Audio Converter has some shortcomings. In the trial version, the drag and drop method and batch converting are not available in Real Audio Converter and Easy Audio Converter modules, and only half of the audio file is converted.

Plus, you have to purchase the product in order to edit audio information, and you can only use the trial version 14 times (even if you don't exit the program, but only switch through the modules). On the other hand, the Media Audio Converter module supports these features even in the unregistered version of the product, and audio files are almost fully converted.

The bottom line is that Akram Audio Converter is a great tool for converting audio files, and we strongly recommend you try it.
