Mini-stream Ripper is an audio conversion tool that helps you not only convert files from one format to another, but also rip CDs and online streams with minimum effort.
The program’s GUI is not at all the best we’ve seen, but it still helps the app get the job done, while also providing access to the main built-in features.
You can for example choose the source content, which can be either audio files stored on the local discs or online streams, in which case you need to input the URL.
Mini-stream Ripper supports the common formats out there, including RM, MP3, WMA , WMV, ASF, ASX and WAV, all of which can be further customized before the start of the conversion process.
The MP3 format for instance comes with configurable encoding parameters such as bitrate, channels, frequency and preset.
What’s more, an ID3 tag editor is also available to input information such as title, artist, album, year and comment, and so is a dedicated tool to adjust conversion speed.
Mini-stream Ripper comprises a fairly stable and fast engine that runs smoothly on all Windows versions, without slowing down the workstations at all.
All things considered, Mini-stream Ripper can definitely come in handy to a lot of users out there, but several improvements are still needed to do a perfect job. A revised interface with a more straightforward approach, new options and support for more formats could help a lot.
