Arial Audio Converter is a tool designed to help you encode audio tracks between several formats, including MP3, WAV, OGG, WAV and MP2.
The interface of the application is user-friendly. You can import audio tracks by using the file browser only, since the "drag and drop" method is not supported (at least, not on Windows 7). Batch processing is allowed.
In the list you can check out the source name and format, length, size and ratio of each file. But you can also play, pause and stop a song, as well as navigate back and forth within the track.
So, all you have to do is specify the output directory and extension, in order to proceed with the conversion process.
In addition, you can configure audio settings for each format including sample frequency rate, channels, bit rate, channel, VBR and quality, optionally enable to automatically save ID3 tags and to delete the original files after conversion, and others.
The audio converter takes up a low-to-moderate amount of system resources, includes a step-by-step tutorial with snapshots along with daily tips and didn't freeze or crash when we tested it. The sound of the output files is kept at a very good quality. Unfortunately, the demo version has some harsh restrictions.
Also, an error popped up multiple times when we tried exiting the program (we we forced to terminate it from Task Manager). We recommend Arial Audio Converter to all users, but with reservations.
