Free VCD to MPEG-4 AVC Converter is a fast and simple-to-use software appication made with one goal in mind: to create MP4 clips for common videos, iPod or Zune devices from VCD files. It does not include advanced features or configuration options, making it suitable for all user groups, even the ones inexperienced with video conversion software.

Installing the program is a swift and easy task, since it does integrate unfamiliar options. When it comes to the interface, Free VCD to MPEG-4 AVC Converter does not contain visually appealing elements. However, it provides direct access to all available options.

It is possible to point out the VCD file using either the file browser or drag-and-drop feature, as well as to indicate the saving directory and select an output profile, in order to proceed with the conversion operation. There are no other noteworthy options available.

The tool does not take a long time to carry out a conversion job, during which it remains light on system resources. No error dialogs were shown in our evaluation, and Free VCD to MPEG-4 AVC Converter did not hang or crash. Although it does not integrate rich features, this app gets the job done and can be used by anyone.
