MP3 Audio Batch Converter is a program designed to help you modify the format of audio tracks (WMA, WAV, MP3 and OGG) to WMA, WAV, MP3, OGG and VOX.
The tool comes with a user-friendly interface, which lets you import items by using either the file browser or tree view ("drag and drop" is not supported). It is possible to process more than one sound file simultaneously.
In the file list you can read the name, frequency, number of channels, duration, size and status for each item. If you prefer default settings, then you need to simply select the output extension and directory, in order to initialize the conversion task.
Advanced users can fiddle with the audio properties when it comes to volume normalization, fade in and out effect, sample rate, channels, bit rate, quality, coding method, command lines, variable bit rate and quality, along with high-pass and low-pass filtering, among others.
Plus, you can enable a preset (e.g. phone, radio, CD, studio) or alternative preset (e.g. fast standard, extreme). Settings can be restored to default. On top of that, you can preview tracks in a built-in player, edit ID3 tags, as well as start a volume normalization task instead of a conversion operation.
The audio processing tool converts an item in a reasonable amount of time while using a low-to-moderate quantity of CPU and system memory. Its response time is good and MP3 Audio Batch Converter includes a help file. No error dialogs have popped up during our testing and the app delivers a good sound quality.
However, MP3 Audio Batch Converter froze during a volume normalization task and we were forced to restart it. We must keep in mind the fact that the tool has not been updated for a long time.
