Xilisoft WMA MP3 Converter is an application that allows you to encode media files of various formats (including AVI, MOV, 3GP, VOB, FLV and MKV) to the MP3, MP2, WAV or WMA extensions.

The user interface of the application is plain and simple. You can import files by using the file browser or the "drag and drop" method (batch processing is supported).

In the list you can view the name, format, duration, profile, ouptut size and status of each imported file. But you can also preview the track in a small window placed on the bottom right corner of the screen.

So, all you have to do is select the output profile and destination, and initiate the conversion process.

Moreover, you can rename the file, as well as select channels and split the song into several pieces. Additional settings can be configured when it comes to the audio codec, sample frequency rate, volume and metadata.

In order to split the clip, you have to set the start and ending position. Plus, you can clone the video and add effects (fade in and out, normalize, band pass, chorus, flanger, echo).

Furthermore, you can establish an action to take once a task has been completed (e.g. exit program, turn off computer), select the interface skin and language, set the default output folder, prevent standy or hibernation when using the battery, set CPU priority, and more.

The program uses a moderate-to-high amount of system resources, includes a well-drawn help file with snapshots and didn't cause us any problems during our tests. The sound quality in the output files is excellent.

However, the demo version is severely limited (as you can see in the Product Description below). But it still offers a user-friendly environment in which you can fully test Xilisoft WMA MP3 Converter's capabilities. We strongly recommend this software to all users.
