As the name of this program implies, 101 MP3 Splitter & Joiner allows you to split and join audio tracks with the MP3 format.

If you're using Windows 7, then make sure to run 101 MP3 Splitter & Joiner with administrative rights. Otherwise, some errors will prevent you from accessing it.

The interface of the tool is simple and pretty intuitive. You have access to three main areas - splitting, joining and editing (ID3 tags).

Audio tracks can be imported by using the file browser only, because the "drag and drop" method is not supported.

In case of file splitting, you can cut audio tracks into equal parts or by a selected time session (after you specify the start and end point of the clip). Once you establish the output destination, you can proceed with the trimming process.

The joining task requires that you import two or more files. Plus, you can check out the source path and status in the queue, as well as arrange them and specify the output filename. In matter of ID3 tags, you can edit the fields for title, artist, album, year, genre, comment, and others.

The audio processing app requires a moderate amount of system resources and quickly completes a task without popping up any errors. The sound quality is maintained at a very good quality.

On the other hand, we were not able to access the help file during our tests. Also, 101 MP3 Splitter & Joiner failed to merge two MP3 tracks in one case (although it did not notify us of any issues). We recommend this software with reservations.
