Cool Music Record/Edit Station is a lightweight audio editor and recorder that comes packed with many useful features for helping you cut, copy and mix audio files.

Once you run the application, you can perform the following operations: create a new file or open an existing one, or record stream from the sound card. The user interface is crowded, and you may spend some time trying to understand the function of each dedicated parameter. The help manual comes in handy in this case, as it gives you details about each operation.

The program works with a wide range of file formats, namely WAV, MP3, MP2, WMA, OGG, CDA, VOX, RAW, G721, AU, AIF, MPC, DSP, and others. It offers support for the same formats when it comes to exporting options.

Thanks to its built-in player, you can listen to the current track or any part of the song. A region can be selected by either using the mouse cursor or specifying the start and end position of each song manually.

You may also increase or decrease the speed of the selected region, apply different filters (e.g. band pass, high pass, notch), reduce noise effects and voice breath, and insert silence and noise.

Overall, Cool Music Record/Edit Station proves to be a fully-featured application that helps users perform various audio editing operations. Unfortunately, it doesn’t offer an intuitive layout, and rookies may find it pretty difficult to work with this tool.
