Meda MP3 Splitter Gold is an application that lets you cut MP3 files in a few simple steps.

The user interface of the program is quite attractive. Maybe it is a little dark and you are not able to accurately read the information, but that's just a minor setback.

So, you have to insert an audio track by using the file browser or the "drag and drop" method.

Once you double-click an area on the wave-graphic pane, your mouse cursor receives a break point. Now you can drag it to another point and use three buttons to save the segment (in the MP3 format), remove the break point or play the respective piece of the audio file.

In addition, you can set the overlap time, save the break points and a log file, as well as set the default output destination. But you can also add a break point with silence detection, save multiple blocks and convert MP3 files to the WAV extension. Plus, Meda MP3 Splitter Gold supports ID3 tags.

The program uses a moderate-to-high amount of system resources (so it shouldn't put a strain on your computer), includes a comprehensive help file and is extremely easy to use, even by beginners.

It froze once during our tests (the first time we attempted to save blocks) and we had to restart the application. Other than that, Meda MP3 Splitter Gold is an efficient tool for cutting MP3 files and we recommend it to all users.
