Microstudio

Microstudio is a feature-packed solution that is meant to assist you when playing karaoke song with your friends, but also play the tracks or record the current singer.

The application comes with an old-school graphic user interface and you might need to invest some time to get accustomed to it and its functions. In terms of looks, there is a possibility to modify the color and fonts of the main window.

You cannot drag and drop files onto the main window, instead you need to open a dedicated window and select the source folder(s), then wait until the directories are automatically scanned and the compatible tracks are added to the list. The source location can be either your hard drive, or a CD, if you are looking for audio tracks, or you can set the app to scan for dedicated karaoke files.

On the other hand, you can use drag and drop to choose one or more audio files and add them to the playlist - once you hit Play, you can adjust the volume and skip to the next or the previous tracks.

Microstudio can enhance your karaoke experience by adding digital effects to your currently playing file, but also by recording the current singer. You can specify the output folder for saving the generated track (only the WAV format is currently supported), as well as tinker with the level boost and the mixer adjustments. You can also disable or enable playing microphone with music.

Due to this app, you no longer need to rely on third-party software to record the karaoke playing of you and your friends. You can start singing right away or you can first listen to the music until you work up the courage to start singing.
