Lightweight and easy to use
Going through the setup process only allows you to blink, as it is completed fast and without much effort required on your behalf. It uses incredibly little of your system resources and nor does it take much space on the hard disk drive.
The interface put at your disposal is nothing out of the ordinary, with an upper toolbar being home to all available features found under small, intuitive buttons. The rest of the space is dedicated to an explorer that helps you quickly locate files, a playlist and the “Big View”, which is nothing more than a bar visualization that also displays track related info.
Integrated hotkey support
Going under the hood and bringing up the options menu unveils a highly configurable window. You can take advantage of an enhancer it order to increase quality of sound. In addition, this can manually be done with the help of an equalizer. Unfortunately, these cannot be toggled in the main window, making it a little difficult to navigate through.
You can also use your keyboard buttons to activate specific functions like play/pause, stop, next and so on. A few presets are available, such as keys from F8 to F12, media keys with or without volume, or can choose to configure them and use custom key combinations.
The application also puts an option at your disposal which creates quick access points for up to three external applications. This comes in handy, as you can quickly look up lyrics over the web using an integrated function and bring up a text editor and have them saved.
