CD Stomper is a lightweight cross-platform utility that helps you listen to tracks from audio CDs.
The program sports a simplistic interface that gives users the possibility to select the track to be played from a list, which can be displayed with a simple right-click on the primary pane. Plus, you can make CD Stomper automatically play the songs from the CD.
The application comes packed with only a few configuration settings for helping you listen to audio files, as you can play, stop, or pause the current selection, skip to the next or previous audio file, eject the disc, activate the loop mode, as well as play songs randomly.
Other important features worth mentioning enable users to edit the name of the tracks and create a playlist with the files to be played. On the downside, you cannot seek a position in the audio stream directly from the main window, so you are required to open a dedicated pane.
During our testing we have noticed that CD Stomper provides good audio quality and without errors throughout the entire process. It remains light on the system resources, so it doesn’t hamper computer performance, nor interfere with other programs’ functionality.
To sum things up, CD Stomper offers a simple software solution when it comes to listening to tracks from audio CDs. It cannot compete with other powerful tools on the market, as it lacks many advanced features, such as customizing the layout and creating multiple playlists, just to name a few suggestions.
