Freemake Music Box is a compact Windows utility built to help you search for online music, listen to audio files in a clean and intuitive environment, and create playlists.

During the installation process you are asked to make file associations. The program offers support for the following file formats: AAC, AIFF, APE, FLAC, M4A, MP3, MPC, OGG, SPX, WAV, WMA, and others.

Freemake Music Box lets you add audio files from the computer using the built-in browse function, so you cannot rely on the “drag and drop” support and create a playlist with your favorite items. The playlist may include songs from the online music database.

What’s more, you are allowed to play, pause or pause the current audio selection, shuffle or repeat the songs, go to the previous or next track, adjust the volume, as well as seek a position in the audio stream.

During our testing we have noticed that the application carries out a task quickly and without errors throughout the entire process. It stresses up the CPU and memory, so the overall performance of the computer may be burdened.
