M&K Player

M&K Player is a small software application whose purpose is to help you open and play audio files via a simple interface. It can be deployed on all Windows versions out there. It works with audio file formats like MP3, WAV, and WMA.

You can drop M&K Player on pen drives or other portable devices so you can carry it with you all the time. No installation is needed for gaining access to the tool’s GUI because you may simply run the executable file.

It is important to mention that the utility does not affect your Windows registry with extra records so you may uninstall it with a simple deletion task.

M&K Player does not impress much in the visual department because it reveals a plain design that has only a few configuration settings to offer. Audio files can be imported in the working environment using only the built-in browse button (the drag-and-drop support is not implemented).

There’s no support for a help manual, but you can quickly get an idea about how to make the most out of its dedicated parameters because they look easy to work with.

M&K Player gives you the freedom to play, pause, or stop the current audio selection, adjust the volume pretty quickly thanks to the built-in slider, repeat songs, as well as create playlists which can be saved to a file on your computer so you can upload them in the future.

The main window can be dragged and dropped to the desired desktop position, but you cannot resize it. On the downside, you cannot work with advanced features so you are not allowed to export playlists to M3U and PLS file format, assign hotkeys, shuffle songs, perform searches, and access online radio stations, just to name a few suggestions.

Tests have pointed out that M&K Player carries out a task quickly. It does not eat up a lot of CPU and memory resources so the overall performance of the computer is not affected. On the downside, it has not been updated for a long time so you may bump into compatibility issues on newer operating systems like Windows 8 and 10.

To sum things up, M&K Player comes packed with nothing more than basic audio playback features, and is suitable especially for less experienced users.
