M Player is a lightweight software application designed to help you listen to your favorite MP3 files.
Looks are not quite impressive, as the layout is not clean. You cannot use the drag-and-drop support, so you need to manually add the desired audio files to the working environment.
M Player was designed with an overall simplicity in mind, so even rookies can learn to master the dedicated parameters on the fly.
The tool lets you only MP3 files, so it is not able to recognize audio formats, such as WAV, OGG, WMA, AIFF, and others.
Basic features for playing audio files
M Player gives you the possibility to build up a list with MP3 files, use the master controls for playing, pausing, or stopping the current audio selection, go to the previous or next song, as well as adjust the volume and balance pretty easily, thanks to the built-in sliders.
The lack of configurable parameters makes it an ideal tool for rookies who don’t want to spend too much time tweaking the process in details. On the downside, you cannot seek for a position in the audio streams, create and export playlists, use hotkeys for a better control over the entire process, edit metadata, shuffle or repeat the audio items, and use an equalizer.
To sum things up, M Player offers a simple software solution and comes packed with limited features for helping you play MP3 files. It needs several improvements in the GUI area and implementation of advanced features in order to boost the program’s performance.
