Shuffle Player

There is no doubt about the fact that everybody, regardless of age, listens to music. For it to be played on a computer you need to have an application that can do that, such as Shuffle Player.

You can play nearly any song, because this simple to use utility is able to open a decent amount of sound files. Unfortunately, the only way to access those files is through the application itself, with no ability to drop them on the main window. You can however, manage them into playlists, and different categories, from the organizer menu, once they are opened. There is also an integrated lyrics search menu, where you can fetch them from the Internet, or even write them down yourself.

The application comes with a few themes you can choose from, but nowhere to get more. The only difference between them is the color of the menu names, the rest of the main window, and buttons remaining the same. It does not lack and equalizer, but no presets are available, nor can you save your own, having to adjust the sliders each time.

Several other options include switching to a minimized version, or going into fullscreen, where songs are enlisted in the center, with a fade effect applied to previous, and next ones in the playlist. You may also choose to hide it the system tray, and jest let it play without taking up any space on your desktop.

Shuffle Player is a pretty method of listening to your favorite tunes. With its appealing visuals, easy to use interface, and capability of opening a decent variety of audio file types, it makes for a handy application. It's not perfect, but it does its job right, and will not disappoint you.
