SnackAmp is a multi-platform music player with common music player abilities as well as multi-user support and a powerful auto-play list feature.

The program is not focused on flashy skins and Visualizations, but functionality and efficiency. It allows you to catalog your media folders and removable media (CDs etc) for fast searching and access, edit ID3 tags, rename and move files and more.

SnackAmp can work in network environments, even share music and play lists and handle very large numbers of files. It also offers a mini-view and a browser play control, a built-in server for remote access and more.

Additional features include auto leveling of track playback, gapless playback and a combined Media and File manager. SnackAmp is intended for serious media collectors, and will probably not appeal much to beginners that are looking for an all around mp3 player.

Features:

· Plays mp3 and Ogg/Vorbis/Wav (or any snack compatible file).
· Plays mp3 and ogg streams either by specifying the url or using a web browser.
· Cross platform, runs on any platform the snack 2.2 extension runs on include Windows 9x, NT, 2000, Macintosh, Unix, Linux. On Windows taskbar icon provides pause and other options.
· Acts as a Shoutcast/Icecast media server to media clients to allow you to share your media. Provides a powerful web interface to allow selection of desired tracks.
· Very fast, designed to handle 20K+ tracks. Supports but does not require metadata collection.
· Built in Web server to allow remote control of player and serve HTML user manual.
· Integrated track manager with tag (both individual and group) editing functions
· Cut/paste and drag/drop your files using the Auto Playlist manager, works as a file manager.
· Uses enhanced Amp MP3 and Ogg Vorbis decoders built into snack, high decode quality and low CPU utilization.
· Decodes ID3V2 and ID3V1 tags and displays them when available.
· Powerful ID3V1 tag editing functions and auto-renaming based on tags.
· Automatically clean up mangled names and ID3 tags from the APL manager.
