WmC JukeBox 2 is an easy-to-use freeware music / video player for the Windows platform that comes with some special features to make it really unique.
The differences from for example Winamp, is that covers for the album is showed if available, and you have direct access to your music / video collection. It is also possible to shutdown the program and Windows with a timer and also set the player to start playing a certain time.
WmC JukeBox 2 uses the "UltraIDLib: MP3 ID3 Tag Editor".
Why watch independent movies? No, WmC JukeBox 2 is best to use if you have your entire music (and music video) collection stored on your harddrive. WmC JukeBox 2 then gives direct access to the folders you music is stored in, making it very easy and fast to add music to the playlist and play it. It doesn't matter what structure you use for different artists or albums. You can of course have as many subfolders you like. WmC JukeBox 2 also works with music stored in other locations, then the ones chosen to show in the list.
The second main reason to use WmC JukeBox 2 is that it shows covers for the albums if they are available as images in the folder. The images can be of any size and the name of the image doesn't matter. WmC JukeBox 2 shows the first image it finds. The supported formats are bmp, jpg, gif, png, ico, emf and wmf.
If you want to go to sleep to you favorite music you can set a time for the program to stop playing. The music is then faded out and stopped. You can also choose to shutdown the computer the selected time. No matter which action you choose, the music always fades out preventing that you get a chock from the abrupt stop if you have fallen asleep. The supported actions are: stop playing, close program, logout, restart, standby, shutdown and hibernate. Hibernate only works with Windows 2000/XP for supported systems.
You can also set the program to start playing a certain time, making it possible to wake up to your favorite music. For this to work the program must be running.
WmC JukeBox 2 also works as a ID3-tag editor and filerenamer. It is possible to rename multiple files at once and edit ID3-tags of multiple MP3s at once. It is also possible to rename MP3s from their ID3-tags.
