Softpedia Editor's Review for THOMSON mp3PRO Audio Player
|
Encode .wav files into mp3PRO files at 64 kbps.
Written by Elena Opris on February 14th, 2012
THOMSON mp3PRO Audio Player is an application that enables you to play audio tracks in the MP3 format, as well as convert WAV files to MP3s.
The interface of the program is plain and simple. You can import audio tracks by using the file browser or the "drag and drop" method.
So, you can pause, resume and stop a song, adjust the volume, navigate back and forth within the stream, create a playlist, as well as go to the next or previous track.
Additionally, you can specify the input and output directory for the conversion process, as well as set the program to allow intensity stereo, extra high quality and monitor playback, add file to the library and code original file length.
The software quickly finishes a task while using a very low amount of CPU and system memory. It didn't freeze or crash during our tests.
However, THOMSON mp3PRO Audio Player doesn't support batch processing and doesn't allow you to edit ID3 tags on MP3 files. A help file is not available but that's because the tool is extremely simple to use. Moreover, the demo version can only encode stereo PCM files greater than 44.1 kHz.
Other than that, we strongly recommend THOMSON mp3PRO Audio Player to all users (especially novices) who are looking for a straightforward MP3 player and WAV-to-MP3 converter.
