Alternate Chord

Alternate Chord, just like the name says, deals with music for chord instruments, more precisely guitars. That's not really something new, only that in this case you get a small powerhouse for creating and adjusting a few chords and tablatures for your instrument. Although the interface is quite friendly, you'll still need to know your music-related aspects in order to be able to operate and understand how to achieve your final goal with this app.

The interface seems rather basic. You have the option to select base notes, switch to available ones and also mark them on a virtual sheet of paper. The chords can be played independently or together, depending on your needs. Adjustments include a whole plethora of adjustable options. You can select to filter content by difficulty and type, check visible frets, adjust interval in msecs, check for a MIDI device if you've got one available, change tone height, and finally character set.

If you've already had a couple of chords created with this application or another, you'll be happy to know you can use the app to further adjust your work. It does not force users to start from scratch, which is actually a great thing. It offers a flexible alternative that integrates previous work just as much as it does new ideas. In terms of used resources, there's not much to worry about, since this program works well even on older setups. All that is left for the user to harness inner skills that can match the application's offered options.

Your created chords can easily be expanded in order to be shared and improved by others if you wish for that to happen. Alternate Chord is not much of an alternative, as it is a first choice in terms of creating viable music and keeping track of your ideas.
