Beats Per Minute or BPM are used to calculate the 'Timing' of a song and acts as a guide to the speed it should be played. i.e., 60 bmp = 60 counts in 1 minute = 1 beat per second.

You can practice counting the BPM with BeatCounter application. Use your CD player, Tape Deck or Radio to play a track and use the counter and chart to work out the beats per minute. Practice tapping to the beat, get a feel for the 'Rhythm', work out the 'Tempo' & have Fun!! Easy stuff huh!
