Thanks to their personal approach to a particular subject, podcasts represent arguably one of the best and easiest ways of learning new things.

Having said that, if you're a podcast aficionado, you might be interested in CPod, a somewhat interesting Electron-based app that can bring a ton of interesting podcasts directly to your computer's desktop.

Right off the bat, we should mention that this is still a very new app, which still requires a fair bit of development time thrown at it. Nevertheless, should you choose to give it a try, you are bound to discover that it's very much usable and useful as it stands.

You get a simplistic and modern-looking application that allows you to discover and listen to new podcasts without any type of noteworthy hassle. On the left side of the main window, you may notice a simple toolbar that provides you with access to the app's most important features and sections.

Starting from the top, there's a Subscription Manager that will help you get a glimpse on the latest podcasts, a Queue section, a Search function, and the Settings section from where you can import and export subscriptions. The app also features per-episode artwork and a functional, basic player that allows you to toggle the volume and to skip through podcasts, and that's basically it.

Taking everything into consideration, CPod is a pretty decent utility that should prove its worth for most users looking for a straightforward podcasting application that looks and works rather well.
