Guitools

Guitools is a small software program that helps guitarists tune their musical instrument by using the microphone from the computer.

The interface of the app is quite modern and commendable. On the right side of the main screen, there are four options that enable you to toggle tabs. These are ‘Tuner’, ‘Metronome’, ‘Chords’ and ‘Scales’.

The program is small, so everything you have to do is save the file to the hard drive. As the program does not require installation, it means that you are able to place it anywhere you want, including portable storage units, such as USB flash drives, in order to run it on every computer that you have access to. Moreover, you do not have to worry about the Windows registry when you uninstall the program, and it is not going to add new entries to the Start menu.

The app enables musicians to keep a steady tempo as they play the guitar, with the help of a digital metronome. Unlike the traditional mechanical ones, in Guitools you can set the tempo from Largo to Andante and even Presto.
