Meda MP3 Joiner is a small application designed for merging two or more MP3 files. You can use it if you want to listen to one huge MP3 file that contains all your favorite songs, instead of creating a playlist.
The UI is pretty blunt and features are extremely limited, but Meda MP3 Joiner is straightforward. Start a project by inserting MP3 files (drag and drop is supported).
Inconveniences start right here. The software lets you add a single file at a time if the MP3s are placed in different folders, and you cannot assign a hotkey to it. For example, if you want to add hundreds of MP3 files that are scattered all over your hard drive, this becomes a time-consuming task. It would be easier if Meda MP3 Joiner had an Explorer-based layout.
You can view the length of time of all MP3 files, as well as a log of your actions. Once you have finished putting them in order, begin the merging process.
The good thing about Meda MP3 Joiner is that it works very fast. Too bad it does not pop up a message or make a sound to notify you when a task is completed.
Additionally, you can use an ID3 tag editor for the MP3 files (write album, artist, title, year, comment), and enable Meda MP3 Joiner to attach it to the output MP3 file.
In conclusion, Meda MP3 Joiner is a good tool for merging MP3 files, but it definitely needs some improvements (e.g. shuffle option, Explorer-based interface, larger buttons).
