Intuitive and simple interfaceThe main window is split into several sections that manage to cover all major aspects of the application. A side panel lets you quickly locate items of interest from the library directory you provide. All imported songs are displayed in a center area along with all necessary details such as name duration, genre and more.
Create and save custom playlistsAn integrated player lets you enjoy your custom selection of songs either from the playlist, from filtered tracks or all of them. The application lets you add any song to playlists you create and can save to file.
Watch corresponding videos onlineIn addition, an interesting feature quickly looks up related videos on YouTube and displays them in a side panel in case you wanted to see the corresponding video. You can filter imported songs according to several criteria. These are shown in squares separated by categories such as duration, year, genre, beat or mood.
Good but far from being a proOn the other hand, the application's functionality ends here. There is no possibility to enhance sound with any equalizer effects. Moreover, hotkey support is not implemented which is a big disappointment, especially for an application dedicated to media files.
In conclusionAll things considered, MuVis is only at the beginning of a long and promising road. There is a lot more room for improvement, but the feature pack it comes equipped with get the job done right. If you're looking for a simple way to organize and enjoy your music, this might be a suitable alternative to more popular multimedia applications.
