DRM Free Music ID Tag Editor
DRM Free Music ID Tag Editor is a simple-to-use application which allows you to edit the ID3 tags of your MP3 files.
The interface of the software is based on a standard window in which you can add an MP3 audio track by using the file browser only, since the "drag and drop" method is not supported.
So, you can edit ID3 v1 tag data which includes the artist, album, title, track number, year and comment of the respective song.
But you can also write information for ID3 v2 tags, such as composer, original artist, copyright, link and encoder.
Furthermore, you can view some details about each MP3 file, like sample frequency rate, channels, checksums, emphasis and length, as well as enable DRM Free Music ID Tag Editor to clear the existing ID3 v2 tag before writing the new one.
The tool runs on a very low amount of system CPU and memory. We haven't come across any issues during our tests, since DRM Free Music ID Tag Editor did not freeze, crash or pop up errors. There is no help file available but that's because DRM Free Music ID Tag Editor is extremely easy to work with. Once tags have been updated, a message pops up.
On the other hand, the program doesn't let you import multiple MP3 audio tracks at once, in order to let you easily perform batch operations. For example, you could have applied a file mask to edit the ID3 tags of all songs.
All in all, DRM Free Music ID Tag Editor is a pretty straightforward tool, even if it doesn't have too much too offer. We recommend it with reservations.
