IE Photomontage 1.9
A software application that uses a single photo to give you that montage effect
The app comes with a simple interface that focuses on the image you’re creating. The intuitive layout makes the program easy to use, no matter how much experience with this type of software you’ve had before.
Basically, the software lets you load an image from any location on the computer. It supports a wide range of file formats, such as TIFF, GIF, JPG, BMP, PCX, ICO, PNG and PSD, just to name a few.
The program provides two ways to create the montages. Firstly, a number of columns and rows must be defined. If you enable the “Double Process” option from the interface, the app performs the parsing process twice. Thus it uses the specified number of columns and rows the first time, while incrementing their number the second time.
Alternatively, you can perform the entire action on your own. The software provides a rectangle tool that is used to cut the picture to a large number of pieces. The Shift and Control keys tilt the frame to the left and right.
When the process is complete, you can move the parts around or have them brought to the front, an option that is particularly useful for the pieces that overlap. Another possibility is to press the “Shuffle” button, which randomly changes the order of the pictures.
By default, the background of the montage is set to display the original image. However, it can easily be modified. For instance, you can pick one of the many color tones available in the drop-down menu. Another option is to display a tiled photo of your choice.
All in all, IE Photomontage is a nice app that can help you create some unique pictures. Inexperienced users should be able to quickly get used to all the tools provided by this software.
