IA PrintScreen is an application that takes control of the print screen key and displays multiple options concerning the screenshot.

There’s not much to configure because IA PrintScreen is a pretty basic piece of software, but once installed it completely replaces the old purpose of the print screen key.

From now on, every time you press the print screen button on the keyboard to take a screenshot, IA PrintScreen displays a menu comprising three different options: email the photo, open files or folders.

Especially helpful if you wish to email screenshots on the go, IA PrintScreen can be launched at Windows startup too, while an icon placed in the System Tray provides one-click access to its features.

As you can see, there’s nothing that could get you too much trouble, so the lack of a help section shouldn’t create any problems to those less experienced. All features are very intuitive and the tiny window comprising the available options is pretty plain and simple.

Of course, IA PrintScreen leaves a very reduced footprint on system performance and runs smoothly on most Windows versions. It didn’t launch on Windows 7 during our testing, not even with administrator privileges or in compatibility mode.

As a conclusion, IA PrintScreen is nothing more than an interesting idea that needs a lot of improvements to become a truly helpful product. It can help users enhance the print screen key, but more options are clearly needed.
