A regular keyboard is fitted with most functions you need for basic computer use, including one to capture activity on the screen in the form of a picture. However, it can take quite a while to post-process and save the grabbed picture, but this is exactly where ScreenSnapper comes in handy, to make taking screenshots faster and more comfortable.
First of all, be sure to check whether or not .NET Framework is installed on your computer, otherwise the application can’t even be installed. On the other hand, if you’re using modern Windows iterations, there’s a high chance it’s already on your PC, because it comes in the default set of features.
When launched, a slim, intuitive panel shows up just above the tray area. It contains everything you need in order to start taking screenshots, and mastering hotkey use. What’s more, the panel can be minimized to the tray area, so it doesn’t stay on your desktop while attempting to capture activity on the desktop.
On the bright side, there’s the possibility to completely rely on hotkey commands, but these can’t be changed if already assigned to other programs, or even Windows functions. You can either capture activity on the entire screen, or simply drag a box around a region of interest, with feedback instantly brought up in a simple window frame.
The associated tray icon comes with a few options of its own. For instance, you can choose the default picture export format, which can be JPG or PNG. There’s an option to have files automatically saved so the preview screen doesn’t show up, which is neat for consecutive operations.
Taking everything into consideration, we can state that ScreenSnapper is sure to come in handy as a practical extension to the default method of taking screenshots. It gets deployed in a matter of seconds, while methods of operations are comfortable and intuitive.
